Alan Sheinwald maintains a happy and healthy lifestyle, spending time with family, progressing his professional career, and volunteering within the local community.
Education and Career
Setting off on an attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he gained essential skills in military, fitness, and academics that would allow him to excel as a member of the 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment.
At West Point, there is a four year educational process known as “The West Point Experience” Over the course of a cadet’s four years at the Academy, his developmental goals will be focused on four critical areas that include:
- Intellectual
- Physical
- Military
- Moral-Ethical
Upon completion of their academic program, each cadet earns a Bachelor of Science degree based on one of the 37 varied majors and concentrations provided at West Point.
For Alan Sheinwald, his years at West Point were some of the most significant and forming years of his life. He learned a lot about himself and the world around him, making long lasting friendships and gaining experience in leadership, teamwork, commitment, dedication, hard work, and more.
Because West Point meant so much to him while he was a student as well as a member of the Army, Alan Sheinwald decided to become an active member of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG). As a member of WPAOG, Alan demonstrates his support and promotion of the ideals emphasized at West Point. He builds meaningful relationships with current students as a mentor and community leader.
During his time in the United States Army, Alan Sheinwald earned various awards, honors, and certifications which include:
- Cavalry Spurs
- The Army Achievement Medal
- Airborne Certification
Later on, Alan attended the NYU Stern School of Business where he graduated top of his class, earning his MBA and membership into the Beta Gamma Sigma Society. Alan Sheinwald is also very fond of the memories he created at NYU. As the Stern School of Business is noted for being one of the oldest and most renowned business schools on the planet, Sheinwald gained a high quality educational experience that would prepare him for a long and successful career in business and community leadership.
Upon completion of his educational endeavors, Alan Sheinwald set off to establish a successful career in business. He is the President and Founder of Capital Markets Group, working to assist emerging and undervalued companies grow in the local community. Previously, Alan Sheinwald was also recognized as Manager of the Year for the Mayflower Group in 1991. Additionally, Alan is a dedicated member of the Jewish Federation of New Jersey. As a member of the Jewish Federation, Sheinwald helps establish and maintain a strongly united Jewish community within his local area. Some common goals of the federation include:
- Finding funding and financial resources for community needs
- Demonstrating good works
- Promoting peace and understanding
- Assisting the hungry, homeless, and oppressed
Community Involvement
Beyond his professional career, Alan Sheinwald enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and getting involved in his community. Outside of work and business it is great to step away from all of the paper work and simply interact with other people. As a leader in business, Alan Sheinwald has also found himself suiting the role of a community leader. He has offered his time and efforts setting up a wide variety of community events.
One of his greatest impacts on the community has been volunteering as a softball coach. Alan Sheinwald stands as a coach for a softball league for mentally and physically challenged adults. As a coach, Alan gets to pursue his love for the game while also building new friendships and helping others to stay healthy and active. Alan loves watching the team come together to focus on their strengths and simply have a great time together!
He enjoys the rewarding experience of coaching, helping others grow and succeed and build strong friendship and team bonds.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
When Alan Sheinwald is able to find some spare time in his busy schedule, he enjoys a variety of personal hobbies and interests. These hobbies largely involve spending time outdoors and appreciating nature for all it is worth. Some of his hobbies include:
Biking – Alan Sheinwald loves to use his bike instead of his car whenever possible. On some occasions he will ride his bike to work or through the neighborhood to meet with a friend or prepare for a community event. Alan loves biking as it is a healthy way to get around, both for the individual and for the environment. It is also a great way to enjoy the fresh air and be close with nature.
Hiking – Alan loves hiking for the scenic views, personal challenges, and fitness that all come along with it. He especially loves hiking around different areas of New England during the fall months when the trees have started to change colors and the views are simply magnificent.
Kayaking – Similar to biking and hiking, kayaking allows you to get out and enjoy nature while working on maintaining your fitness. Being around the water offers a peaceful and calming environment that Alan Sheinwald very much enjoys. Some days, Alan will even bring a book along with him and simply float around while reading.
Travel – Over the course of the next few years, Alan plans to step up his travel game and visit many different areas all around the world. He would love to explore more of the art, histories, and cultures of lands he has never before visited. Traveling offers a great way to gain new perspectives and insights on life while also learning a lot about yourself.
Spending Time With Family – Of course, above all else, Alan Sheinwald enjoys spending time with his family. Whether it is taking them out to the ballpark, eating dinner together, or watching family movies, Alan loves being engaged with his family and learning about their dreams and interests.
